Sungguhpun dibuang sebagai juri " The X-Factor" versi Amerika, Cheryl Cole membuktikan dia tidak lagi berkecil hati. Cole yang muncul pada episod pertama program realiti itu disambut baik penonton. Digantikan oleh bekas anggota Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, loghat Cole yang sebelum ini difikirkan menjadi masalah.

To find a superstar is kind of hard to explain because you call-that's why they call it "The X-Factor, " if you like. It's that little something you can't quite put your finger on but you know. Scherzinger yang teruja di kerusi juri berharap dapat memberi inspirasi kepada peserta.
"The reason what I do what I do is to inspire, right? Artists are to inspire, people connect with other people. So I took on this job because I wanted - we are looking for the X factor so I wanted to find, for me the X factor is someone who is going to move me and inspire me." - Nicole Scherzinger
